ROAD SCHOLARS

WE PAID FOR THIS

WHAT WE HAVE ON THIS PAGE IS SOMETHING, NO LET US REPHRASE THAT, SOMEONE WE AS A CLUB SPONSORED. YOU SEE, ANYONE WHO DOES MOST OF HIS OWN WORK AND ASKS LITTLE OF HIS FRIENDS DESERVES A PAT ON THE BACK. THIS GUY HOWEVER DOES ALL THAT, JUST SO HE CAN GO RACING ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS AT OXFORD, IN A V-8 CLASS IN A V-6 CAR AND HE HAS SOMEHOW FINISHED IN THE TOP TEN IN POINTS THE PAST FEW YEARS. SO WHEN HE DECIDED TO MAKE THE JUMP TO A V-8 THIS YEAR, HE NEEDED A SPONSOR OR 2.THATS WHEN WE STEPPED UP AND THREW HIM A BONE AND HE REWARDED US WITH A DECAL OF OUR LOGO ON HIS CAR, AND IN TRUE ROAD SCHOLAR FASHION MADE IT WORK.

WITHOUT FURTHER ADO WE GIVE YOU SHANNON JUDD, RACE CAR DRIVER, OWNER OF A FLATHEAD POWERED 53 CUSTOMLINE FORD 2 DOOR AND  WITH ANY LUCK AT ALL, A FUTURE ROAD SCHOLAR.

IF ANY OF OUR VISITORS WOULD LIKE TO HELP A GUY OUT E-MAIL US AND WE CAN HOOK YOU UP

Congratulations to Judd Racing

Shannon Judd showed us what it takes to persevere in a tough class this year. A slow Start and some mechanical troubles slowed his chance to finish in the Top Ten in Points. Finishing in 15th, 12 points out of 10th is still pretty damn good.

GOOD JOB SHANNON

Dear ROAD SCHOLARS:

Just wanted to thank you for your support  this year.
We had good success considering we showed up to the track with an unpracticed/brand-new car in chassis with an entirely
different weight distribution from what we were used to running. After several dnf's (did not finish) and a dns (did not start) we
managed to bring home the iron on more than one occasion. Several top 5 finishes including a first and two second places
capped the year off.
The upcoming season looks promising as hopefully a new G.M. crate motor will be under the hood- the final and needed touch
now that a dozen or so set-ups have cured the handling ills of the car.
Look forward to getting you more successful statistics in the upcoming season. Thank you again for your
support. Plan on seeing you at a few shows next year as well in my '53 Ford customline two-door.
Thanks again.

Shannon Judd
